Training and Private Practice

My initial degree was in the Social Sciences and I have worked in Education. After an intensive training I have been, for many years, in full-time private practice as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist.

Professional Bodies

I am a Fellow of the British Psychotherapy Foundation which was formed in 2013 by a merger of The British Association of Psychotherapists, The London Centre for psychotherapy and The Lincoln Clinic and Centre for Psychotherapy. At the time of merger I was Chair of The London Centre for Psychotherapy having done my training as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist there in 1995.

In 2013 – 2014 I was Clinical Services Co-ordinator for the British Psychotherapy Foundation managing referrals to Trainees and Members. I am registered with The British Psychoanalytic Council.

Attachment Theory

I have an interest in Attachment Theory and have contributed a chapter to “Attachment Theory and the Psychoanalytic Process (Eds. Cortina, M. and Marrone, M)” Whurr 2003.

Supervision

I am a member of The British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision and have a Diploma in Supervision.

I work as a supervisor for counsellors and psychotherapists. I also offer private supervision for experienced counsellors/psychotherapists or those in training.
